Funeral of Mr. A. NEWTON
Mr. Arthur NEWTON, of 12, Westleigh Road, Taunton died at his home on Wednesday of last week, aged 43 years. He was born at Taunton and served with the Royal Navy during the war and then worked in the Post Office engineering department.
The funeral service at St. James's Church on Tuesday morning was conducted by the Rev. W. G. STENT, and Mr. Douglas HILL was the organist. Cremation followed at Bristol.
The mourners were: Mrs. P. C. NEWTON (wife), Mrs. TOLLER and Mrs. DUDDRIDGE (sisters), Mr. DUDDRIDGE (brother-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. A. J. MANUEL (father-in-law and mother-in-law), Mrs. HOOPER and Mr. HOOPER (sister-in-law and brother-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. C. MANUEL and Mr. R. MANUEL (brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law), Mr. N. TROTT (friend).
Representatives of Taunton Post Office also attended.
Funeral arrangements were by Mr. Leonard E. SMITH, of Haydon Road, Taunton.
