CHILCOMPTON NATIVE IS 101
Born at Chilcompton, Somerset, the youngest of 22 children, Mrs. Sarah HAYES, now living in the Rhondda Valley, celebrated her 101st birthday during Christmas.
Mrs. HAYES has been a confirmed pipe smoker for 65 years, and her recipe for longevity is “God's help, a bit of 'baccy, and plenty of work.”
Mrs. HAYES is still active, and is housekeeper to Mr. J. NICHOLLS.
