NORTH PETHERTON POLICE COURT.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5.

Magistrate: J. L. SEALEY, Esquire.

Job TROTT and Emmanuel TROTT, brothers, were brought up in custody of Mr. Superintendent DOWDE, charged with stealing three ducks from the fowl-house of Mrs. Elizabeth COCK, of North Petherton, on the night of the 3rd inst. The ducks were found at the prisoner's house, and when apprehended Job TROTT confessed to stealing them, but said he should not have done so had he been sober. Emmanuel TROTT was discharged; Job TROTT was remanded till Thursday, the 9th inst.

Robert PROLE and Edwin WARNER, mechanics, in the employ of the Bristol and Exeter Railway Company, were brought up in custody charged with stealing seven brass bearings, the property of the company. PROLE was discharged; WARNER was committed for trial. PROLE was then charged with stealing three brushes, but as the identification was not complete he was discharged.
