<section not transcribed>

SERIOUS ACCIDENT. - Last (Tuesday) evening a large mass, weighing nearly four hundred weight, of the old wall of St. Mary's churchyard, in Church-square, a considerable portion of which has tumbled down during the last two months, fell with great violence upon a young child about four years of age, son of Mr PARKHOUSE, the sexton of St. Mary Magdalen, burying his head and body. Hearing loud screams, Mr PARKHOUSE, who lives close by, ran out, and quickly released his son, and took him home. Mr LIDDON was at once sent for, and was immediately in attendance on the sufferer. The child has sustained some severe injuries in the head, and now lies in a dangerous state.
