MARTOCK.

SWINE FEVER. - During the last few days 92 pigs have been slaughtered, as suffering from or being in contact with swine affected with swine fever. Forty-six of the animals were the property of Mr. VAUX, and the remainder belonged to Mr. Wm. TUCKER, Manor Farm. Several supposed cases have been notified to the police during the last week.

THE MARTOCK MILITARY BAND played a selection of music at the Market Cross on Saturday evening. Later in the evening the band of the M Company, V.B., P.A.S.L.I. (Bandmaster, Mr. E. P. WHELLER), visited Martock, and whilst discoursing music in the centre of the town some miscreant threw rotten eggs among the band and bystanders, conduct which cannot be too strongly condemned.
