WATCHET.

A MAN ADRIFT IN AN OPEN BOAT. - On Tuesday morning, about three a.m., as Charles SULLY, the light-keeper, was putting in the harbour light he saw a boat passing out of the harbour. Thinking it was the local fishermen going out he took no notice of it, but later on it was found that the boat of the ketch Telegraph (Capt. NICHOLAS) was missing from her moorings, and no tidings of her whereabouts could be found. On Thursday morning news reached Watchet that the boat with a man in her had been picked up by a tug, and the man was landed at Barry. Word was sent to Watched to that effect. Sergt. TOMPKINS has been sent to fetch him, as it is thought he is wanted by the police. He must have experienced a rough time of it, as it was blowing a heavy gale and raining hard all night.
