FIVEHEAD.
RETURN FROM THE WAR. - Mr. John THYER, who has been engaged with the 2nd Somerset Light Infantry in South Africa, returned home on Thursday. He has been through several engagements, and has been fortunate enough to come safely through. When the war broke out he had only 12 months more to serve in the Reserve, and he was at that time in the employ of the Post-office, being rural postman at Fivehead.
