THE GIRLS' EVENING CONTINUATION SCHOOL. - The Head-mistress of the Girls' Board School, Mrs. DAY, has received the following very gratifying reports on the Evening Continuation School, which she successfully conducted last season, from the Somerset County Education Committee and H. M. Inspector:- Copy of report from the Somerset County Education Committee - “The lessons are carefully prepared by the teacher, and the pupils are most attentive and industrious. A useful session's work has been done.” Copy of H.M. Inspector's report - “Mrs. DAY has been most painstaking in her work, and the girls have on the whole very well mastered the subjects of instruction.”

WEDDING. - On Saturday week at St. Joseph's Church, Bridgwater, a quiet wedding took place, the Rev. Canon WADMAN officiating, between Mr. Geo. CARNE WILLIAMS, son of the Rev. E. CARNE WILLIAMS, rector of Wolves Newton, Chepstow, and Miss Muriel O'BRIEN, only daughter of the late Captain O'BRIEN, and grand-daughter of the Rev. G. F. HODSON, rector of St. Michaelchurch, Somerset. The bride wore a white satin dress, draped with beautiful old lace, the gift of her grandmother, Mrs. HODSON, and with tulle veil. Miss CARNE WILLIAMS acted as bridesmaid, and wore white silk, and a large white hat with pink roses. The bride was led to the altar by her uncle, Mr. Walter POOLE, who, in the absence of her brother, Mr. Adrian O'BRIEN, in South Africa, gave her away. Amongst the relatives of the bride and bridegroom were Mrs. and the Misses CARNE-WILLIAMS, Mr. H. CARNE-WILLIAMS (who acted as “best man”), Mrs. HODGSON, Mrs. O'BRIEN, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter POOLE. The presents were most costly and numerous. The bouquets were supplied by Mr. HAYWARD, and the beautiful wedding cake by Mr. TAYLOR. The carriages were supplied by Mr. ROWE, of the George Hotel, except the carriage and pair conveying the bride to Bridgwater, which were driven by Mr. SUMMERS, coachman to Mrs. HODSON. The bride is well-known and very popular in North Petherton, where she has spent most of her life, and is held in high esteem by all. The honeymoon is being spent in Cornwall. On the same evening Mrs. HODSON's employees and the drivers of the carriages were entertained to supper at her house.
