FATAL RESULT TO AN ACCIDENT. - William SMITH, aged 77, of No. 3 Court, East Reach, who was knocked down about four weeks ago while crossing South-street, by a horse attached to a milk-cart, has recently succumbed to his injuries at the Taunton Hospital, where he was taken after the accident, suffering from a fractured leg. The Coroner has been informed, and it is expected that an inquest in due course will be held. The deceased was well known and respected in Taunton as a jobbing gardener, and was at one time employed by the late Mr. John MARSHALL as under-gardener at Belmont.
