WEST MONKTON.

CHOIR “OUTING.” - The choirs of the Parish Church and All Saints', Bathpool, had a very enjoyable “outing” on Wednesday. The party, to the number of over 30, with the Rev. J. A. G. and Mrs. COOPER, Miss MEADE-KING, and other friends assembled at Taunton Station in time to catch the 8.15 excursion train to Teignmouth, which place was reached before ten o'clock. The weather during the first part of the day was very wet but later the clouds dispersed, and a very agreeable change took place. The party thoroughly enjoyed themselves in various amusements usual at such places. An excellent dinner was provided at the Temperance Hall at one o'clock, to which all did full justice. After dinner, hearty thanks were given to the Rev. J. A. G. and Mrs. COOPER for organising such an excellent “outing,” and to all the ladies and gentlemen of the parish who had contributed towards the expenses of the day. Tea was partaken of at the same place as dinner, and after a very pleasant day Taunton was reached at 10 p.m.
