CREECH ST. MICHAEL.

WEDDING. - On Monday week a pretty wedding was solemnised at the Parish Church, the contracting parties being Mr. J. HARVEY and Miss Clara STEVENS, only daughter of Mr. William STEVENS. The ceremony was witnessed by many friends of the bride and bridegroom. Mr. John STEVENS performed the duties of “best man,” while the bride was attended by Miss Mabel MOUNTSTEPHEN as bridesmaid. Messrs C. F. and E. HARVEY (brothers) and Miss Maria HARVEY (sister of the bridegroom) were also present. The wedding breakfast was provided at the home of the bride. The newly-married couple were the recipients of a number of useful presents.

CHAPEL SUNDAY SCHOOL TREAT. - This event took place at the Baptist Chapel on Tuesday evening, about 100 being present, including parents and visitors. An excellent tea was provided, and after that had been partaken of, Mr. F. RALLS? gave a magic-lantern entertainment. The slides consisted of portraits of the leading Generals in the Boer war, and others illustrative of the death of Cock Robin and the Wonderful Sausage. Recitations were given by Miss KEARL and Miss Ethel GARDNER, followed by a song by Miss Flossie GARDNER, all of which were much appreciated. The distribution of gifts from the Christmas-tree followed by Mr. P. J. THOR---???, suitable presents and an orange being given to each scholar. The arrangements for the evening were carried out by Mr. and Mrs. PERRYMAN and a committee in a manner which reflected great credit upon them.

CHURCH SUNDAY SCHOOL TREAT. - On Tuesday last week the Christmas school treat was held in the National School-room. A splendid tea was provided, to which ample justice was done by the scholars, who were waited on by their Vicar, the Rev. W. F. SHILLITO?, and the teachers, assisted by visitors. After tea an interval was allowed to enable the children to indulge in various games, after which a distribution of prizes was held, Mrs. HENDERSON?? having kindly consented to preform that task. A shot play, entitled “The Sleeping Beauty,” was given by the children, which was thoroughly enjoyed. The characters were as follows:- King, Miss Hilda WRIGHT; Queen, Miss Gracie LESLIE; Princess Mayflower, Miss Gracie GOODLAND; Prince Valiant, Miss Muriel WRENN; Nurse, Miss Winnie BOND; Nettlesting (a wicked Fairy), Miss Greta GOODLAND; Fairy Road, Miss Florence GOODLAND; Fairy Lily, Miss Hilda WRENN.
