SEASONABLE GIFTS. - The aged poor and deserving families of the parish have had gifts of money, and in kind made to them by the local gentry. The Vicar, Rev. R. T. PRYCE-MICHELL, Hon. Mrs. M. P. PORTMAN, Mrs. CHARD, Mrs. TODD, Mrs. CURTIS, Mrs. H. BANES-WALKER, and Mrs. HODSON, have all generously distributed money, or meat, bread, groceries, and coal. In addition the principal farmers have looked well after their work-people, but giving them large joints of beef.
