NORTH PETHERTON.

THE TOWN BAND. - The North Petherton Town Band, under Mr. WILLSHIRE, played selections in Fore-street on Saturday evening, and greatly enlivened the inhabitants.

ACCIDENT. - As Mr. LANDSEY was riding at Thurloxton on Thursday the saddle slipped, and Mr. LANDSAY unfortunately fell and broke his arm near the wrist. He was driven home by Mr. PORTER, where his arm was set by Dr. HAWKINS. We are pleased to know he is progressing satisfactorily.

THE TELEGRAPH EXTENSION. - Practically the whole of the telegraph poles are now fixed in position between North Petherton and North Newton, and are therefore nearly ready for having the wires laid on them. This extension to North Newton from Petherton will be a great boon to Newton, and will be greatly appreciated by the inhabitants there.

MARRIAGE OF MR. A. A. TYNDALE-BISCOE AND MISS B. DUFF.

St. Peter's Church, Eaton-square, S.W., was on Tuesday afternoon the scene of the wedding of Mr. Arthur A. TYNDALE-BISCOE, of North Petherton, Bridgwater, Somerset, son of the late Mr. William Earle BISCOE, of Liddington Manor, near Swindon, and Miss Beatrice DUFF, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander DUFF, of 22, Onslow Gardens, South Kensington, London. The service was full choral, the hymns being “Lead us, Heavenly Father, lead us” (sung on the arrival of the bride), “O perfect love,” and “O, Father, all creating” (sung during the signing of the register). The Rev. Herbert BARNETT, uncle of the bride, officiated, assisted by the Rev. C. E. TYNDALE-BISCOE (brother of the bridegroom) and the Rev. W. S. SWAYNE (vicar of the parish). Mr. DUFF gave his daughter away. She wore a gown of white satin trimmed with chiffon, and old Honiton lace (the gift of her mother), and her veil covered a spray of orange flowers in her hair. The bridesmaids were Miss Audrey DUFF (her sister), the Misses Dorothy and Agnata BISCOE (nieces of the bridegroom), Miss Avice BARNETT, Miss Mary BUTLER (cousins of the bride), and Miss Constance ROBINSON. Th_y wore pretty dresses of white Indian muslin, trimmed with lace and insertion, and green chiffon sashes, with large white hats trimmed with white ribbon and roses; while to each the bridegroom gave a gold sapphire and pearl safety-pin “Bee” brooch and a bouquet of pink roses tied with green chiffon streamers. Major J. D. TYNDALE-BISCOE, 11th Husssars, acted as groomsman. At the conclusion of the ceremony a large number of relatives and friends of both parties met at 22, Onslow Gardens, where during the remainder of the afternoon Mrs. DUFF held a reception, and later Mr. and Mrs. A. A. TYNDALE-BISCOE left for York, en route for Norway, where they will spend their honeymoon. T

he bride travelled in a costume of white voile trimmed with lace, and a pretty pink tulle hat trimmed with a long shaded pink ostrich feather. The presents were very numerous and of a handsome and costly description.
