INTERESTING WEDDING. -At Albermarle Baptist Chapel on Monday a pretty and interesting wedding took place, the contracting parties being Mr. Willie GILL, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. GILL, of 9, Sydney-terrace, and Miss Laura COX, of Elm View, Belvedere-road. Mr. GILL is in the employ of Messrs. H. Corner & Son. The service was attended by a large number of friends, and the chapel was brightly decorated, a very pleasing feature being a floral bower formed in the vestible, this having been made by young friends of the bride and bridegroom. The ceremony was conducted by the Pastor, the Rev. Alex. FINDLAY, and the bride, who was given away by her aunt, was attired in a pretty dress of cream voile, with wreath of orange blossom and veil, while she carried a shower bouquet of white roses, lilies of the valley, and stephanotis. The bridesmaid, a sister of the bride, was dressed in cream delaine, with viex rose sash and Tuscan hat trimmed in the same shade. Her bouquet was composed of pink roses and sweet peas. Mr. Edward H. C. GILL, brother of the bridegroom, acted as “best man.” Appropriate hymns were sung, and Mendelssohn's “Wedding March” was admirably rendered by the organist, Mr. W. G. POTTER, as the happy pair left the chapel. Over 80 presents of a useful and valuable character were received, including a fine engraving after Landseer, from Mr. Henry CORNER, a silver-plated entree dish from Mr. Harold CORNER, a framed oil painting from Mr. McINDOE, and a handsome clock from the bridegroom's colleagues at Messrs. Corner & Co.'s establishment. A reception was held at the house of the bride's aunt, and later Mr. and Mrs. GILL left for Ilfracombe, where the honeymoon is being spent. Mr. F. ADAMS, of Station-road, supplied the bouquets.
