MARRIAGE OF MISS L. BROMFIELD. - The wedding was solemnised on Tuesday week at the Parish Church of Mr. A. WELCH, of Ashill, and Miss Lucy BROMFIELD, second daughter of Mr J. BROMFIELD, of Soutley(?) Dairy. In the temporary absence of the Vicar, the Rev. Vaughan JONES, of Ilton, officiated. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. J. BROMFIELD, and was becomingly attired in a grey dress trimmed with Honiton lace and wore a grey hat with plumes. She carried a bouquet of carnations and roses. She was attended by three bridesmaids, Miss Blanche BROMFIELD, her sister (who wore a dress of grey cashmere and hat to match) and two little nieces of the bridegroom, Freda WELCH and Vera SWAIN, who were dressed in white muslin with blue sashes and wore wreaths on their heads. Each bridesmaid received a present of a gold brooch from the bridegroom. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride, where many relatives and friends assembled. They were the recipients of many useful presents.
