ANGERSLEIGH.
WEDDING. - An interesting and pretty wedding was solemnised at the Parish Church of St. Michael's and All Angels, Angersleigh, on Monday last. The contracting parties were Private Fred OATEN, of the Middlesex Regiment, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. OATEN, of 4, Glencoe-terrace, Trull, and Mary Selina, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom SHARP, Court Cottage, Angersleigh, the bridegroom being home on leave from France after 18 months' service. The ceremony was performed by he <sic> Rector, the Rev. J. R. MacNAMARA. There were many friends present, amongst them being the bride's eldest brother(?), 2nd Air Mechanic F. J. SHARP, of the Flying Corps. Two brothers were unable to attend, being on active service. The bride, who was given away by her father, was becomingly attired in a cream silk dress and hat to match, and carried a choice bouquet(?) of mauve and white chrysanthemums. The bride's cousin, Miss Mabel SHARP, attended as bridesmaid; she was attired in a pale blue(?) voile dress and hat to match, and carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums. Mr. W. OATEN, brother of the bridegroom, acted as “best man.” Later in the day the happy couple(?) left amid all good wishes from their friends, motoring to Honiton for the honeymoon. They were the recipients of many valuable(?) and useful presents, amongst them being a beautiful silver tea service(?) from the bride's mistress, Mrs. J. E. W. WAKEFIELD, and a china tea service from Mrs. TWISS, Miss C. WAKEFIELD, and Mr. H. WAKEFIELD.
