WEST MONKTON.

IMPENDING DEPARTURE OF THE VICAR. - Writing in the current issue of the “Parochial Magazine,” the Rev. E. S. MARSHALL says:- “At the end of this month I shall cease to be your 'parson'. It will be a relief to me to be freed from the heavy duties of a large and scattered parish like ours, which my recent ill-health has hindered me from carrying out as I could have wished; but you may be quite sure that West Monkton and its people will always be in my thoughts and prayers, and the fifteen years which we have spent here have been full of happiness. Mr. PEARSON, who has been a most diligent house-to-house visitor and a loyal fellow-worker, goes to Doulton, in North Somerset, early in October. The tragic death of my only brother, and other cares, make this a time of trouble and anxiety.”
