MARRIAGE OF MR. HOWARD STONE AND MISS MARJORIE GRABHAM. - An interesting wedding took place on Wednesday, the 2_rd[?] ult, at Curland Wesleyan Church, the contracting parties being Mr. Howard O. STONE, eldest son of Mr. R. STONE, of Pyrland, Taunton, and Miss Marjorie H. N. GRABHAM, second[?] daughter of Mr. C. L. GRABHAM, of Northay, Chard. The chapel, which was crowded, was prettily decorated with daffodils and primroses and an archway of evergreens and spring flowers had been erected over the chapel gateway by members and friends of the church. The Rev. B. TATTERSALL, of Exeter, officiated at the ceremony, which[?] was fully choral, at the close giving a pleasing[?] little address, mentioning that the[?] chapel have been in use just 100 years. He also presented the bride with a Bible, inscribed as follows:- “Presented to Miss Marjorie GRABHAM, on the occasion of her marriage to Mr. Howard STONE, by the trustees of Curland Wesleyan Chapel, this being the first marriage to be solemnised in the chapel.” The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in ivory georgette over crepe-de-chine, with veil and orange blossom wreath, and she carried a sheaf of Harrissi lilies. She was accompanied by one bridesmaid, her sister (Miss Evelyn P. GRABHAM), who wore a dress of grey silk stockinette embroidered with pink, with hat to match, and she carried a sheaf of Clara Butt tulips. Mr. A. J. GRABHAM carried out the duties of “best man.” A reception was afterwards held at the bride's home, and later in the day the happy couple left for Weymouth to spend their honeymoon, the bride's travelling dress being tailor-made Navy blue gaberdine[?] with hat to match. The beautiful presents numbered over 60, the bride's gift to the bridegroom being a writing desk and the bridegroom's present to the bride was a sewing table, while the bridegroom gave the bridesmaid a gold brooch. On the Sunday previous to the wedding the Rev. J. W. ARMSTRONG presented to the bride a handsome salad bowl and servers suitably inscribed, given to her by the members and friends of the chapel and Sunday school.
