DUDDERIDGE, OF STOGUMBER, BICKNOLLER, BRISTOL, AND STREET.
1. - John DUDDERIDGE, of Stogumber, yeoman, died there 3rd May, 1612. Inquisition post-mortem taken at Bridgwater 18th September, 1618. He marr. at Stogumber 29th January, 1566, Phyllis YEWING, by whom he had, among other issue:-
2. - John DUDDERIDGE, of Crowcombe, and the New House, Stogumber, churchwarden; bapt. there 1st March, 1576. Will dated 30th March, 1647. Proved, P.C.C. 26th June, 1648 (92 Essex). By his wife Agatha, bur. at Stogumber, 11th March, 1660, he had, among other issue:-
3. - John DUDDERIDGE, of Lee, in Crowcombe, Bicknoller, and Stogumber; bapt. at Crowcombe 12th March, 1608; bur. at Stogumber 22nd December, 1675. He marr. at Stogumber, 16th February, 1642, Joan SULLY; bur. there 10th November, 1670, leaving among other issue:-
4. - John DUDDERIDGE, of the New House, Stogumber; bapt. there 7th February, 1643; bur. there 17th May, 1723. He marr. at Stogumber, 27th December, 1676, Elizabeth GILLAM, leaving, among other issue:-
5. - Hugh DUDDERIDGE, of Preston and Carlslake in Stogumber, churchwarden; bapt. there 8th November, 1635; bur. there 4th May, 1760. By his first wife, Diana RUDE, whome he marr. at Enmore, 9th May, 1708; bur. at Stogumber 17th May, 1724, he had, among other issue:-
6. - Hugh DUDDERIDGE, junior, of Vexford in Stogumber; married 1751, and who, by his wife, Elizabeth, had, among other issue:-
7. - James DUDDERIDGE, of Kingswood, in Stogumber; bapt. there 11th December, 1763; marr. there 28th April, 1793, Ann ROLLINS, by whom he had, among other issue:-
8. - John DUDDERIDGE, of Stogumber; bapt. there 22nd March, 1794; bur. there September, 1887, having among other issue:-
9. - Charles DUDDERIDGE, of Bicknoller and Bristol, where he died in 1910. By his wife, Miss RICHARDS, of Old Cleeve, he left issue:-
10. - James Richards DUDDRIDGE, of Bristol, and the Quay, Gloucester, merchant, born at Bristol, 1859. He marr. in 1882 Clara Ellen, youngest dau. of James BARNARD, of Brislington, by Sarah, his wife, by whom he has issue:- (1) Edith Clara, born 1883; (2) Arthur Gilbert DUDDRIDGE, born 1884 (fell in the Great War); (3) Kathleen Mary, born 1886; (4) Percy James DUDDRIDGE, born 1896.
5. - Hugh DUDDERIDGE, of Preston and Carslake, had among other issue by his second wife, Sarah, bur. at Stogumber 13th March, 1779:-
6. - William DUDDERIDGE, of Stogumber, bapt. there 2nd Aug. 1732; bur. there 22nd Aug, 1773; and who by his wife, Joan, had among other issue:-
7. - Hugh DUDDERIDGE, of Stogumber; bapt. there 21st Sep, 1766; marr. there 21st May, 1792, Sarah PARSONS, by whom he had among other issue:-
8. - John DUDDERIDGE, of Stogumber and Street; born at Stogumber, 1821; died at Street in 1885, having issue:-
9. - William DUDDERIDGE, of Street, and a well-known resident there.
