TRULL.

DEATH AND FUNERAL OF MR. T. DOBLE. - It is with regret that we record the death of Mr. Thomas DOBLE, which occurred at his residence, Wadhams House, Trull, on Saturday morning last, at the age of 76 years. Deceased, who had been in failing health for some time, had resided in Trull for nearly 50 years, and was widely known and very much respected by all. During his long period of residence he had made many friends. He leaves a widow, one son, and daughter, to whom much sympathy has been extended. The funeral took place in Trull Churchyard on Thursday afternoon, and was attended by a large number of friends. Deceased being a member of the Octagon, Taunton, a short service was held at the residence, and was conducted by Mr. STEMBRIDGE and Mr. DENMEAD, of Taunton, who also officiated at the graveside. The following members also acted as bearers:- Messrs. WARFIELD, MOCKRIDGE, HARTNELL, LONG, TRIGGER, and WARREN. The coffin, which was covered with beautiful flowers, was of polished elm, with oak mouldings and brass fittings, and bore the inscription:- “Thomas Doble, died April 21st, 1923, aged 76 years.” The family mourners included:- Mrs. T. DOBLE (widow); Mr. J. H. DOBLE (son); Mrs. S. WYATT (daughter), Burnham-on-Sea; Mrs. J. H. DOBLE (daughter-in-law); Mr. S. WYATT (son-in-law), Burnham-on-Sea; Mr. and Mrs. C. LOCK (brother-in-law and sister-in-law); Messrs. C. H. DOBLE and A. DOBLE (grandsons); Misses K. and F. DOBLE (granddaughters); Mrs. C. H. DOBLE (granddaughter); Mr. F. DOBLE, Mr. S. DOBLE (nephews), Sherborne; Mr. S. DOBLE, Mr. J. DOBLE (nephews), Yarcombe; Mrs. E. BOWERMAN, Miss G. LOCK, Mrs. FUDGE, Mrs. CADDY (nieces); Mrs. A. WEBB (niece), Bath, and Mrs. J. DOBLE (niece), Yarcombe. There were also present:- Nurse LEEWORTHY (Wellington), Mrs. JEWELL (Galmington), and many other friends. There was an exceedingly large number of beautiful floral tributes. - Mrs. DOBLE and family would like to take this opportunity of thanking the many friends for the floral tributes at the funeral, and for their many kind letters of sympathy. - Mr. R. J. DOBLE, of Trull, efficiently carried out the funeral arrangements.
