WEST SOMERSET GENEALOGY.

HAYES, OF OAKE, ALLARFORD IN HILLFARRANCE, AND HILLCOMMON IN HEATHFIELD.

  1. - William HAYES, of Oake, died there 1829; married, at Hillfarrance, 5th December, 1786, Grace, the daughter of William DYER, by Frances, JENNINGS, his wife, daughter of Robert JENNINGS, of Hillfarrance and Oake. She died at Hillcommon, leaving, among other issue:-

  2. - James HAYES, of Oake, Allarford, and Hillcommon, which he founded in 1824. Built the Bible Christians' Chapel there 1842; married at Hillfarrance 9th May, 1808, Martha, eldest daughter and child of George DUDDERIDGE, of Norton Fitzwarren, Allarford, and Hillcommon, by Fanny JENNINGS, his wife, daughter of Robert JENNNGS, of Hillfarrance. She died at Hillcommon, aged 77, and was buried at Hillfarrance 3rd November, 1861. He died at Hillcommon, aged 84, and was buried at Hillfarrance 1875, leaving, among other issue:-

  3. - Aaron HAYES, of Allarford and Hillcommon. Noted local preacher. Born at Allarford 1822; died at Hillcommon, aged 74, in 1896, and was buried at Hillfarrance. Memorial tablet unveiled at Hillcommon Chapel 23rd September, 1897. He married Miss LOVELL, by whom he had, among other issue:-

  4. - Walter S. HAYES of Greylands, South-road, Taunton.
