STOKE ST. GREGORY.
WEDDING. - A pretty wedding was solemnised at the Parish Church, when Mr. George MANNING, of Knapp, North Curry, was married to Miss Elsie BOOBYER, of Meare Green, Stoke St. Gregory. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a white crepe de chine dress, white hat trimmed with a wreath of orange blossom, white shoes and stockings, and carried a bouquet of white roses and chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids were Miss Mabel BOOBYER and Miss Mildred MANNING (sisters of the bride and bridegroom). They wore blue dresses and carried bouquets of chrysanthemums. The bridegroom's gifts to the bridesmaids were a gold dress ring and an ivory Prayer-book. The Rev. H. F. S. GURNEY officiated. Mr. E. MANNING carried out the duties of “best man.” After the ceremony the bells rang out merrily. The presents were numerous and useful, including a wedding cake from Messrs. Maynard's, Taunton, the bride's former employers.
