STOKE ST GREGORY.
B.A. DEGREE CONFERRED. - Congratulations are extended to Mr. George BOOBYER, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. BOOBYER, of Lees Farm, Stoke St. Gregory, who has had the degree of Bachelor of Arts conferred upon him at the Bristol University. Mr. BOOBYER studied at the Bristol Baptist College.
C.M.S. - Missionary services were held in the Parish Church on Sunday last. The Rev. W. H. ELWIN preached in the morning, and gave an interesting children's address in the afternoon. On Monday there was a missionary gathering on the Vicarage lawn, when Mr. ELWIN gave an address on missionary work in China and Japan. Tea was provided, and a dialogue. “The Sandwich Men,” given. Collections were taken for the Society.
