WILLITON PETTY SESSIONS.

THURSDAY. - Before Messrs. A. F. LUTTRELL, J. COOKE-HURLE, S. L. ROGERS, T. L. WHITE, and W. G. PENNY.

The justices granted protection orders to Mr. W. A. TOOGOOD in respect of the London Inn, Watchet, and also to Mr. Samuel MEED for the Valiant Soldier Inn, Roadwater.

DISQUALIFICATION REMOVED.

Mr. J. A. C. KENNARD, solicitor, of Minehead, applied to the magistrates for the removal of a disqualification endorsed on the license granted to Mr. M. G. KINNERSLEY, of 18, Surrey-road, Bristol, to drive a motor-car. Mr. KINNERSLEY was convicted by the Bench in November last for being drunk whilst in charge of a motor-car at Williton, and he was then fined £10 and ordered to pay £1 7s 6d for costs, and he was disqualified for holding a license to drive a motor-car for twelve months. Mr. KENNARD now applied to the Bench to removed this disqualification on the ground that defendant was being put to considerable inconvenience in carrying on his occupation of a commercial traveller, and to Messrs. John REYNOLDS & Co., of Gloucester, his employers, owing to his not being able to drive a car. - The Secretary of Messrs. Reynolds & Co. attended before the Bench and bore testimony as to Mr. KINNERSLEY's good character, and the Bench thereupon decided to remove the disqualification.

THEFT OF WOOD.

William Henry BURGE, carter, of Crowcombe, was summoned by Arthur HALL, estate agent, of Crowcombe, for stealing a quantity of wood, of the value of 1s 6d, the property of the Hon. Mrs. TROLLOPE. - BURGE appeared and pleaded guilty, and stated that he took some of the wood as he was unable to pay for coal, and that a part of the wood was used in connection with necessary repairs of his cottage, which he rented from Mrs. TROLLOPE. - The Bench decided to bind the defendant over in the sum of £5 for six months.

ALLEGED INDECENT LANGUAGE.

Robert John BINDING, labourer, of Watchet, was summoned for using indecent language at Watchet on the 19th ult. He appeared and pleaded not guilty, but subsequently informed the Bench that he was sorry for creating a disturbance, and promised to give up the drink in future. - The Bench adjourned the case for three months in order to see how defendant behaved.

OTHER OFFENCES.

George TIPPER, motor driver, of Williton, was summoned for riding a bicycle at 9.20 p.m., on the 14th ult., at Sampford Brett, without having a light. - He appeared and pleaded guilty, and was fined 2s 6d.

Reginald HORLER, advertising agent, of 29, Queen-street, Plymouth, was summoned for driving a motor-car at Watchet on the 22nd ult. Without having a license. He did not appear, but wrote a letter admitting the offence. - The BENCH imposed a fine of 10s.
