NORTH CURRY.

DEATH OF MR. EDWARD J. DERHAM. - The death took place at Lillesden, North Curry, on Sunday, the 2nd inst., of Mr. Edward J. DERHAM. Deceased, who was 70 years of age, was well known in the district, and was the eldest son of the late Mr. John DERHAM, who at one time farmed at Knapp, North Curry, but removed to Bristol, where deceased was born and brought up. The late Mr. DERHAM came to North Curry 30 years ago, and entered the farm at Lillesden, which was bequeathed to him by his aunt, Mrs. ROBBS, sister of Mr. John DERHAM. Deceased was a churchman, and was for several years a sidesman at the church. He was also a staunch supporter of the Conservative party. He leaves a widow, one son and daughter to mourn their loss. The funeral took place at North Curry Church on Friday last week, when the Rev. Prob. D. J. PRING officiated. A short service was held in the church before the interment. The chief mourners were:- Mr. Ronald DERHAM and Miss Nora DERHAM (son and daughter), Mr. W. DERHAM and Mr. C. DERHAM (brothers), Mrs. COLEMAN (sister), Mrs. CORNOCK (niece). Also present were:- Messrs. E. J. PREW, F. E. HURFORD, W. WHITTLE, W. E. SHARMAN, and E. B. KITE (the family solicitor). There were a number of beautiful floral tributes from relatives and friends.
