ARMISTICE SUNDAY. - The Armistice anniversary was observed on Sunday last, when a united service was held at the War Memorial at mid-day. The Rev. Preb. D. J. PRING officiated, assisted by the Rev. C. LUMSDEN and the Rev. G. COLE, ministers of the Wesleyan and Baptist Churches. A wreath of laurels and Flanders poppies was placed at the foot of the Memorial, and the “Last Post” and “Reveille” were sounded by Mr. Frank RUCKLEY. Muffled peals were rung on the church bells during Sunday, as also on Friday evening, the 11th inst.
