MOTHER'S BEREAVEMENT. - Great sympathy is felt with Mrs. P. J. McHARDY, of 30, Alma-street, in the loss of her four-year-old son, Gordon Clifford, who passed away on Saturday. The infant boy was taken to the Taunton Isolation Hospital suffering from diphtheria, and died within a week. A second child of the bereaved mother is now at the same hospital, but recovery, happily, is almost certain. The funeral was conducted at St. Mary's Cemetery by the Rev. Lindsay J. COURSEY (vicar of St. Mary's), and the mourners were: Mrs. McHARDY (mother), Mr. Leslie McHARDY (brother), Mr. and Mrs. OATEN, Mr. and Mrs. AMORY (grandfathers and grandmothers), Mrs. DAVIS (aunt), and Miss BAXTER (friend). The small grave was covered with over 40 beautiful floral tributes, sent by relatives and friends. - Mrs. McHARDY and family desire to thank those who sent messages of sympathy, and especially the staff at the Isolation Hospital for their kindness, and also those who sent floral tributes. - The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. E. E. WHITE, undertaker, of East Reach.
