NORTH PETHERTON

SERIOUS ACCIDENT. - Mr. Joseph SELLICK, son of Mrs SELLICK, of Old-road, met with a serious accident when returning from Weston-super-Mare, where he had been working. Another motor-cyclist was involved and escaped serious injury, but Mr. SELLICK sustained a double fracture of the jawbone and other head injuries, together with serious bruising of the legs and body. He lies in Weston Hospital, his condition being critical. It was only a few weeks ago that Mrs. CARTER, a daughter of Mrs. SELLICK, sustained a compound fracture of the leg while toboganning. She is at present in the Bridgwater Hospital progressing favourably.
