NORTON FITZWARREN.
WEDDING. - A very pretty wedding took place at St. Andrew's Church, Taunton, on Monday, the bridegroom being Mr. Stanley BULL, youngest son of Mr. A. BULL and step-son of Mrs. BULL, of Manor-road, Norton Fitzwarren, and the bride Miss Ethel TOOZE, youngest daughter of Mrs. TOOZE, of Cyril-street West, Taunton. The bride, who was given away by her brother, looked charming in a dress of powder blue georgette, with beige hat, and carried a bouquet of cream roses. She was attended by her niece, Miss Girley TOOZE, as bridesmaid, who wore a cornflower blue dress, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of salmon pink gladioli. Mr. Cyril BULL (brother of the bridegroom) was “best man.” The happy pair were the recipients of many useful presents. The honeymoon is being spent at Bath.
DEATH OF MR. W. H. BRANNAM. - we are voicing the feeling of everyone in the village when we express the utmost regret at the death of Mr. William Henry BRANNAM, which took place, folowing <sic> an operation, at the Taunton and Somerset Hospital on Tuesday last. Mr. BRANNAM, who was 50 years of age, had been far from well for some time, but had stuck to his duties, and his death came as a shock to a great many. During his 33 years' residence in Norton he had been more or less a public character, and had won the liking and respect of everyone. He had been in the employ of the Post-office for 30 years, and since 1919 had occupied the position of village postmaster. He was a prominent Churchman, and was a sidesman at All Saints'. He also served for one period on the Norton Parish Council. During the war he served with the R.F.A. in France. The funeral took place at All Saints' Churchyard on Saturday.
