CHILDREN'S TREAT AND PRESENTATIONS. - The children of the parish were entertained to tea and games, through the kindness of a local Committee, on Wednesday, last week. During the evening a number of parishioners attended to witness the presentation of a hide attaché writing case to Miss Laura BROMFIELD, and a mahogany striking clock, suitably inscribed, to Mr. John BROMFIELD, on the occasion of their departure from the parish. Mr. WATTS, who presided, referred to the innumerable voluntary services rendered to church and parish by both, and desired Mrs BRICE, sen., to present them with a visible sign of appreciation. - Mr. BROMFIELD returned thanks for his sister and himself, expressing their regret at leaving Ile Brewers. - Mrs. TOTILE(?) was thanked for her collection of subscriptions, and replied, saying it had been a pleasure, as the response had been so generous from all. - Light refreshments were handed round, and after recitations and songs, a vote of thanks, on behalf of children and parishioners, to all who had worked so hard to make the occasion a success was given, followed by hearty cheers.
