HAIRDRESSER BEREAVED. - The death occurred suddenly on Tuesday of Mrs. Alice Mary CLARK, mother of Mr. W. H. CLARK, the Elms Parade, hairdresser. She was 56 years of age, and had resided with her son since the death, six years ago, of her husband, Mr. E. C. CLARK, who was also a well-known Taunton hairdresser. He was in business in East Reach, and later Bridge-street for 30 years. Mrs. CLARK had been in indifferent health since the death of her husband, and was always of a retired disposition. There are three sons, Mr. W. H. CLARK, Mr. E. J. CLARK, an engineer for Messrs. W. J. KING, Bishop's Lydeard, and Mr. Frank CLARK, who had led an adventurous life as a sundowner in Northern Queensland, Australia, for the past eight years. - The funeral took place on Friday afternoon, the interment and service at St. Mary's Cemetery being conducted by Mr. William DOBLE, a brother, of Cardiff, who is connected with the Plymouth Brethren. The family mourners were:- Mr. E. J. CLARK (son) Mr. and Mrs. W. H. CLARK (son and daughters-in-law), Mrs. J. STUDLEY, Cardiff (sister), Mr. DOBLE, Cardiff (brother), Mr. DOBLE, jun., Cardiff (nephew), Mr. F. DOBSON, Cardiff (brother-in-law), Mr. F. DODGE, Cardiff (nephew), Mrs. F. HARTNELL, Bishop's Lydeard (niece), and Mr. G. M. SOUTHWOOD (friend).
