NORTH CURRY.

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS TREAT. - Over 200 North Curry children were entertained by the Pride of the Moors Lodge of the R.A.O.B. in the Morris Memorial Hall on Friday. The whole party first partook of a splendid tea, supplied by Mr. VAUX, and looked truly festive after decking themselves out in the carnival hats obtained from their crackers. The games part of the programme was ushered in by a hat parade, of which the winners were Barbara LANE and Leslie DERHAM. Musical arms followed, the fortunate winners being Harold PARSONS and Mary DAVID. The lucky juveniles in the contest of passing the parcel were C. HECTOR and G. ROSSITER, whilst B. STENSON, E. BARRINGTON, Wm. DAVID, and H. ROSSITER were successful in the musical bumps competition. Parents were invited to the entertainment which followed. The adult items were given by Messrs. L. BELL, P. B. COATES, M. DERHAM, and F. LOCK, whilst the children gave dramatic renderings of stories and poetry. The children were arranged in their age[?] groups, and prizes given for the best rendering of their favourite poems, with the following results:- Babies' group, Joseph PERRY; age 6 and 7, Doris PARSONS and L. DERHAM; 8 and 9, Hilda ROSSITER; 10 and 11, Ted ROWSELL, M. DERHAM, and E. BARRINGTON; 12 and 13, Maud TATTLE and C. ISAACS; 13 and 14, Derek DERHAM and I. BRUFORD. All the young guests were given a bun, an, orange, and a packet of sweets on departure.
