RUISHTON.

DEATH OF LOCAL BUTCHER.

THE LATE MR. J. E. T. TROTT.

The death of Mr. James Ernest Triscombe TROTT, of “Maythorne,” Ruishton, occurred at his resident on Monday. Mr. TROTT, who was 68 years of age, was well known in the district, having for a number of years carried on the business of a pork butcher at Ruishton. He was also well known as a local sportsman, having been for more than 30 years secretary of the Ruishton and Henlade Cricket Club. He retired from that position two or three years ago, when he received an illuminated address. He was also for more than 30 years a churchwarden at the Parish Church, and was presented with a grandfather clock by the parishioners in recognition of his service to the parish.

His wife died about two years ago. He leaves three sons, to whom the sympathy of a wide circle of friends has been extended. One of the sons is in the business at Ruishton, while another is a chemist in Birmingham. The third is employed in the furnishing department of Messrs. Hatcher & Sons, Ltd., Taunton.

The funeral takes place at Ruishton on Saturday.
