HILLFARRANCE.

SUNDAY SCHOOL OUTING. - The Sunday School had their outing on Tuesday last and went by char-a-banc to Minehead. The party, who were accompanied by Sister Ellen, Miss WALTON, and several other adults, numbered about 40, and a most enjoyable day was spent.

DEATH AND FUNERAL OF MR. WM. BUTTLE. - It is with the deepest regret we record the death of Mr. Wm. BUTTLE, an old and much-respected inhabitant, who passed away on Friday, July 12th, at the Taunton and Somerset Hospital, after a long and serious illness. For many weeks deceased had been skilfully nursed at the hospital, and recovered sufficiently to return to his home at “Mayfield,” where he has resided for several years. Unfortunately, he was again taken ill, and, although he was quickly taken again to the hospital, he expired after a few hours. The funeral took place at the Parish Church on Tuesday last, the Rev. A. WREN, who is temporarily in charge of the parish, being the officiating clergyman. The principal mourners were:- The widow, Mr. and Mrs. Walter BUTTLE (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. Albert BUTTLE (son and daughter-in-law), Mrs. C. DAVEY (daughter), Mrs. DENFORD (sister), Messrs. Albert, Emlyn, and Clifford BUTTLE (grandsons), Miss Doreen BUTTLE (granddaughter), Mr. E. BILLINGS (brother-in-law), Mr. W. BUTTLE (nephew), and Mrs. TAYLOR (cousin). Mr. Walter BUTTLE (brother) was prevented from attending through illness. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. J. CATTLE,, Mrs. W. CATTLE, Mr. CRIDLAND, and Mr. HILL. The coffin bore the inscription:- “William Buttle, died 12th July, 1935, aged 70 years.” The bearers were Messrs. A. LOVELL, T. STRICKLAND, W. SHUTLER, and W. JONES. There were a large number of beautiful wreaths.
