AVIATOR'S WEDDING IN SHEPTON MALLET.

Considerable interest was taken on Friday last in a wedding celebrated by the Rev. H. E. BETTS, at the Independent Chapel, the bridegroom being a mechanic, photographer and observer in the Royal Flying Corps. In civil life he is a photographer, David, younger son of Mr. Thomas POWELL, of Swanage. The bride was Margaret, elder daughter of Mr. Samuel John WILLSHIRE, of Bowlish, who has four sons serving with the colours. The service was choral, Miss May ALFORD being at the organ. The bride wore a dress of white embroidered voile with picture hat wreathed with pale pink roses, and a Flying Corps brooch. She carried a bouquet of Harrisil lilies, lilies of the valley, pink carnations and gladioli. She was given away by her father. There were three bridesmaids, Misses Olive WILLSHIRE and Dorothy POWELL, sisters of the bride and bridegroom, in white embroidered dresses, and Miss Ethel TROWBRIDGE, of Clifton, cousin of the bride, in pale blue silk, all three carrying bouquets of white and pink carnations, and wearing Flying Corps brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. Ivor JONES, of Swansea, was best man, and Mr. Percy WILLSHIRE, R.A.M.C., groomsman. After a happy party at the residence of the bride's father the newly wedded pair went to Weston-super-Mare for a brief honeymoon, the bridegroom having to report himself at Netheravon on Monday night. There were numerous presents of a practical and valuable character.
