STUDENT NURSE BOUND OVER.

Molly Elizabeth FOURACRE (17), a student nurse, of Fore Street, Milverton, was bound over for three years, for causing grievous bodily harm to Miss Barbara Mary MARSHAM, sister in charge of a nursery home for bombed out children at Porlock. FOURACRE was alleged to have admitted hitting Miss MARSHAM on the head twice with a horseshoe while she was sleeping.

FOURACRE had pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder, and Mr. Justice CHARLES accepted her plea of guilty on the lesser charge.

The judge made it a condition of her recognisance that she should reside for three years with Mr. James MOORE, of Taunton, who had offered her employment, and that during that time she should be seen weekly by a doctor at the Taunton Hospital Clinic for the early treatment of nervous disorder.
