FUNERAL OF THE LATE SIR F. W. SLADE, BARONET. - The funeral of the late Sir Frederic William SLADE, Bart., Q. C., took place on the 13th inst. The mortal remains of the deceased were conveyed from Maunsel Grange House to Michael Church, near North Petherton, followed by three of his sons – Sir Alfred Frederic Adolphus SLADE, Bart, Mr. Marcus SLADE, and Mr. Henry SLADE; his four sons-in-law, Mr. CUTHBERT, Mr. C. TINLING, Mr. BRITTON, and Mr. KING; Mr. George FURSDON, Mr. Lucius FITZGERALD, and the medical attendants, Mr. J. PARSONS, of Bridgwater, and Mr. W SUMMERS, of North Petherton. The funeral service was read by the Rev. J W ROBINSON, vicar of North Petherton, and the Rev. G F HODSON, curate of Michael Church, the body of the deceased being interred in a grave dug in the churchyard. A large number of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood attended the funeral which was conducted without any ostentatious display.
