TAUNTON CENTENARIAN.
Mrs. Sarah BROOMFIELD, of 35, George-street, Cheddon-road, Taunton, on Monday became a centenarian, having been born a hundred years ago – at Exeter, on February 18th, 1924 <sic>. The distinction of attaining this great age is all the more noteworthy by reason of the fact that Mrs. BROOMFIELD is still bright and active, retaining all her faculties with the exception of failing eyesight. She recollects witnessing several public executions at Taunton, including the hanging of a woman in a sun bonnet.
