DRAYTON.
RURAL COUNCIL ELECTION. - Mr. A. WILLEY, of Midelney Farm, is opposing Mr H. C. PRICE, the present representative on the Council.
THE EASTER VESTRY was held in the Parish Room on Thursday evening. Rev F. W. SOAMES (vicar) presided over a good attendance. The churchwardens' accounts were presented and passed, showing a balance in hand of £3 5s 10d. The Vicar reappointed Mr E. B. Cely TREVILIAN as his warden. It was proposed by Mr E. B. Cely TREVILIAN that a faculty should be obtained to enable the work of the restoration of the Drayton Cross to be done. - Mr F. M. EASTMENT seconded and the proposition was unanimously carried. Mr C. J. A. BEYRON (the organist and choirmaster) was complimented and thanked for his successful work wit the Easter service. The collections at the morning and evening services amounted to £5 15s 8d and were for the Vicarage Building Fund, at the children's service 3s 1d was given towards the Cripple Children's Home.
