BARRINGTON.

A PRETTY WEDDING was solemnised at the Wesleyan Chapel on March 25th, the contracting parties being Mr Alfred Henry SALTER, son of Mrs SALTER, of Upottery, Devon, and Miss Anna Mary BRISTER, youngest daughter of Mr Frank BRISTER, Barrington. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a sax blue cloth dress with tagel hat with cream? plumes. She carried a shower bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom, and was attended by three bridesmaids, namely, Miss L. BRISTER (sister of the bride), Miss E. SALTER (sister of the bridegroom), and Miss E. MALE (friend of bride), who all wore sax blue dresses with tagel hats with white plumes; also gold brooches, and carried bouquets, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr Joe BRISTER, performed the duties of best man. The Rev. F. A. TOMLINSON was the officiating minister. Mr Albert BRISTER presided at the organ. The hymn, “O Lord of All” was heartily sung by the large congregation of friends and visitors. As the bride and bridegroom left the chapel Mendelssohn's wedding march was played. The motor car that conveyed the bridal party to the ceremony was supplied by Mr HELLIAR, of Honiton. The reception was held at the bride's home. The happy pair were the recipients of a large number of useful presents. The bride's travelling costume was navy blue cloth. Later in the day Mr and Mrs SALTER motored to Stockland, Devon, their future home, with the good wishes of a great many friends, both being highly respected in the village.
