KINGSBURY EPISCOPI.
DISTRICT NURSING ASSOCIATION. - A meeting of this Association was held at the Council School, Stembridge, on Friday, when Miss WOOD (superintendent of the Somerset County Nursing Association) gave an address. The main business of the meeting was to try and retain the services of a nurse for this part of the district. Owing to the inclemency of the weather there were not many present, and it was though desirable to call another meeting at some future date.
DEATH AND FUNERAL OF MISS PRISCILLA R. MALE. - The funeral of Miss P. R. MALE, of Kingsbury, took place on Wednesday in the Cemetery amid many manifestations of sympathy on the part of the parishioners, among whom she was very much respected. The deceased had been unwell for some months and had recently gone to Weymouth sanatorium, where she passed peacefully away on Friday. The Rev. H. J. SHERWELL (Wesleyan superintendent minister) officiated. The coffin was of oak, with brass furniture, and the breast-plate bore the inscription:- “Priscilla R. Male, born October 8th, 1860, died Sept. 16th, 1913” The bearers were Messrs James NORRIS, J. GUMMER, G. CLARK, W. MALE, B. SAVIDGE, and H. B. MALE. The funeral arrangements were under the superintendence of Mr. H. EVES. The mourners were cousins of the deceased:- Messrs Abel and Robert PITTARD, Misses Priscilla and Florence PITTARD, Mrs Eliza GUMMER, Mrs Elizabeth NORRIS, Misses Jeanetha and Martha CLARK. Among others present were Messrs J. C. BISHOP, J. DIGHT, W. STENT, H. WILLY, J. COGGAN, H. HARVEY, A. NORRIS, and J. ENGLAND. There were many beautiful floral tributes.
