SHEPTON BEAUCHAMP.
A PRETTY WEDDING took place at St. Michael's Church on January 9th. The contracting parties were Mr Bert DRAYTON, only son of Mr William DRAYTON, of Barrington, and Miss Edith CORNELIUS, eldest daughter of Mr Cornelius CORNELIUS, of Shepton Beauchamp. The bride, who was neatly attired in a mauve costume trimmed with white satin, and a white hat trimmed with pink roses and orange blossom, was given away by her father. Mr A. BRIDGE, of Curry Rivel, acted as best man. Mr. W. MALE, of Barrington, a friend of the bridegroom, also attended. There were three bridesmaids Miss Sally CORNELIUS, sister of the bride, Miss Jessie DRAYTON, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Mary LAWRENCE, friend of the bride, who were attired in creme dresses, trimmed with satin ribbon and insertion and balck silk hats. The wedding party and guests were taken to church in a motor car. The reception was held at Mr CORNELIUS house. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of over 50 useful presents from their many friends and well wishers.
