WEDDING AND PRESENTATION. - A very pretty wedding took place in the Wesleyan Church at midday on Monday. The contracting parties were Mr Harry GRANGER, eldest son of Mr W. GRANGER, of Ilton, and Miss Mabel BATTEN, second daughter of Mr James BATTEN, Station Road. Rev F. A. TOMLINSON impressively conducted the interesting ceremony, which was witnessed by a large nmuber <sic> of the bride and bridegroom's relatives and friends of the church and town, among whom they are deservedly held in much respect. The bride carrying a bouquet of choice flowers and becomingly dressed entered the church leaning on the arm of her father, and was accompanied by four bridesmaids, Misses Beatrice and Alice BATTEN (sisters of the bride), Gladys Daisy GRANGER (sister of the bridegroom) and Ada DAVEY (cousins of the bride), Mr Albert GRANGER acted as best man. After the ceremony Mr and Mrs Harry GRANGER were greeted with showers of confetti at the church front. The bridal party were conveyed to and from church in motors, supplied by Messrs Yandle & Sons. The wedding breakfast was at the home of Mr and Mrs BATTEN. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of numerous and useful presents, one of which was a handsome tea service by the Wesleyan Bible Class, presented on the previous Sunday afternoon, Mr and Mrs GRANGER being members for some year past. Mr EDMONDS, the president, offered felicitations and good wishes on behalf of the members and Messrs ROWE, AXHORN(?), F. KEITCH, and W. ROWSELL also addressed a few words of congratulation, etc. Mr GRANGER suitably replied. The bridegroom was also the recipient of a handsome reference Bible, suitably inscribed and initials on front cover, by the Ilton Wesleyan Sunday School, of which he has been a teacher for the past three years.
