PUCKINGTON.

A PATRIOTIC FAMILY. - Edward GUMMER, of the 23rd Battalion, S.P. Canadian Expeditionary Force, was wounded on May 24th. He was in Canada, and enlisted for the war. His brother Mark was wounded early in the war. He came home and got on so well that he was sent back again, and has been missing since January 25th. He was a reservist in the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards. A brother (Jack) enlisted in the Royal Dublin Fusillers when the war broke out; George, who is in Canada, went through the Boer War, and took part in the defence of Ladysmith.
