KILLED AT THE FRONT. - The sad news was received on Saturday from his chum at the Front that Lance-Corporal P. SWAIN was killed in action on July 8th?. Mrs. P. SWAIN had just received a cheerful letter from her husband, telling her that he expected to be home shortly for a few days leave. The news of his death cast a gloom over the village.
