KINGSBURY EPISCOPI.

DEATH OF LIEUT. WM. KELLETT. - The sad intelligence has been received that Second Lieut. Wm. KELLETT, S.L.I., attached to the Flying Corps, has been in killed in France. Lieut. KELLETT was returning to headquarters with a series of photographs, when his machine coll ded <sic> with another about 150 from the ground, both pilot and observer being killed. Lieut. KELLETT was a native of Leeds. He had filled the post of assistant master in the Council Schools in this parish for four years previous to the war. He enlisted immediately on its outbreak, joining a cavalry regiment. He soon obtained a commission and was transferred to the Somerset Light Infantry. About a year ago he proceeded to France, where he had experience of trench warfare and took part in the great advance of July 1st. For his conspicuous bravery he was mentioned in Sir D. HAIG's New Year's dispatch. Subsequently he was transferred to the Flying Corps and was making splendid progress when his career so suddenly came to an end.

THE LATE STOKER GEORGE BONNING. - The funeral of Stoker George BONNING, of this parish, who died at Devonport, took place on Thursday at the cemetery, the Rev F. BALCH (Wesleyan minister) officiating. The family mourners present were Mrs BONNING (widow), Mr. James BONNING (father), deceased's daughter and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Fred. BONNING (brother and sister-in-law), Stoker Harry HARVEY and Mrs HARVEY (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Mr Tom HARVEY (father-in-law), Mrs. ELLIOTT (aunt), Mrs. CHAPMAN (aunt), Miss ELLIOTT (cousin), Messrs. TUCKER and BONNING (uncles). Others who attended were Mr. John DIGHT, Pte. F. NORRIS, R.A.M.C., Mr. John TALBOT. The bearers were Messrs. John BEST, Tom BEST, Joseph BEST, and H. GRINTER (uncles). The deceased only joined up about five weeks ago, with four other young men from the village. Deceased, who was 28 years of age, contracted a severe cold, which developed into pneumonia. Much sympathy is expressed with the young widow and child in thei <sic> sad bereavement.
