KINGSBURY EPISCOPI.

Mr. and Mrs. REED, of this village, received a few days ago information that their son, Private James Henry Lovell REED, S.L.I., had been killed in action on Aug. 24th in France. The Lieutenant of his platoon, in writing, mentioned his good qualities as a soldier and says he was always willing and good and will be greatly missed by his comrades. He joined H.M. Forces on Nov. 14th last and had been in France since March 21st, 1917. He was a native of this village and was well-known and respected by all with whom he came into contact. He was a teacher in the Wesleyan Sunday School. His age is 19 years. For sometime he distributed the Western Chronicle throughout the neighbourhood. - (MR. and MRS REED wish to thank those friends who have written letters of sympathy in their sad loss and will they accept this intimation? The number of letters received is so great that it is impossible to reply to them individually.)
