WIRELESS CONCERTS AT THE INSTITUTE. - The members of the Workingmen's Institute have just installed at the Institute for the use of members, a wireless receiving set. It is hoped in the near future to fix a loud speaker to the apparatus.
OBITUARY. - The recent death of Mr. Alfred ALLEN is deeply regretted by the parishioners, and a large number of friends in the neighbourhood. A native of Shepton Beauchamp the deceased came to the parish over 30 years ago when quite a lad to learn his trade as blacksmith and shoeing smith, and in later years became the proprietor of a business which, with the aid of his sons, proved a successful undertaking. He had not been in good health for some time and a few weeks ago, during a period of treacherous weather, he contracted bronchitis and pneumonia which resulted in his death. - The funeral took place in the Parish Churchyard on Tuesday, the Vicar (Rev. - HORSFORD) officiating. Mr. ALLEN, who was 71 years of age, was borne to the grave by some of his old friends. There were many mourners and some beautiful floral tributes.
