A SAD END. - On Thursday, Mr. W. W. MUNCKTON held an inquest on the body of George HAWKINS, labourer. - Elizabeth CRIDLAND said that deceased was about 50 years of age, and lodged with her. Last Friday week he fell down stairs when he was the worse for drink. They went to his assistance, and next day he was in bed all day until the evening. He had drink on Sunday, but did not complain. On Thursday he was insensible, and she went for Mr. TODD. Mr. W. G. TODD, surgeon, said he first saw deceased on Thursday, when he was suffering from concussion of the brain, from which he considered deceased had died.
