SHEPTON BEAUCHAMP.
MARRIAGE OF MR. F. HAKE AND MISS LENA WELCH. - The wedding was solemnised on Tuesday, of Mr. F. HAKE, son of Mr. W. HAKE, of Combe St. Nicholas, and Miss Lena L. WELCH, eldest daughter of Mr. David WELCH, of this parish. The service was fully choral, and a large congregation assembled. The Rector (the Rev. A. LETHBRIDGE) performed the ceremony, and the organist (Mr. T. ROUSWELL) presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a cream serge costume, and a silver spangled hat to match. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of lilies and roses, the gift of her cousin (Mr. H. BEALY). She was attended by four bridesmaids, viz., Misses M. A. WELCH and B. WELCH (sisters of the bride) and Doris BEALY and Cissie HAKE (neices [sic] of the bridegroom). The two sisters were attired in pink silk eiolenne [sic] and hats to match, and the two little neices [sic] in white silk frocks and hats to match, and they also carried bouquets, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. W. BEALY acted as “best man.” After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride's parents, between 60 and 70 were present. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of many useful presents.
